My experience using blog

Hi! this year in the English class we start to use blogs as activities. I think that the experience was good but also a little stressful because we had to write about different things and sometimes I ran out of subjects. But in general it was a great experience, especially when I had to write about things that I love like my pets or my favourite artist, it was very funny.

Also I think that my writing skills are so much better! now when I have to write or talk something it feels natural, maybe I have some troubles with some words but it´s not that bad. Writing frequently has helped me with my skills.

I think that in the future I would like to include more interactive things like videos explaining some subject or music in the blog. It would be funny and the blog would be more personal and full of personality.

Finally I would like to tell that writing about a movie or some serie is something that I would love. Or maybe some song. I really like that kind of artistic expression because sometimes what we see through the screen in a movie feels so real and the actors can interpret a character so well that we can even feel empathy with him.

1. First, is try to keep the bin out of direct sunlight because it can get too warm and that is very important to keep the thin lid closed.

2. Another it’s use a double bag and tie any food because if we not it can get very smelly in the bin.

3. The last one is that we can’t forget or miss the collection. Also is so important to always have the bin and recycling at the correct time.

My strangest repeated dream

Usually, I don't remember all of my dreams, but I do remember parts of them like the people that are in, the place where I have been and the things that I do, but no the reason of any of them.

Sometimes I have very strange dreams and that are the ones who I remember the most, because when I wake up I have this rare feeling in me, like it was very real and not a dream.

My strangest repeated dream is one that sometimes takes place in my city, anywhere of it, and sometimes in a forest that I have never seen before. But is always the same situation.

It starts with me doing anything normal like being in college or my house with friends when suddenly sound an alarm and for some reason we have to run and hide. It is very scary and stressful because I don't know from what I’m running, but if I don't “that thing” could catch me. It is like a scary movie and sound a little crazy but in that moment it feels so real. And generally it ends with me completely lost, without my friends but with other people that I met in the trajectory haha.

My favourite subject

In this occasion I’m going to talk about one of the subjects that I liked the most in this semester. The name of it is Social History of Chile and now I would like to tell a little about it.

This subject is about the social history of Chile and until now we have seen it with a perspective from the “popular”. The class is like any other, we all got together in a classroom and have discussions sometimes about the differents things that the teacher exposes.  

In the last content of the class, we have been reading and talking about the chilean identity and lately about the beginning of the social movements all along the country with the perspective of the “popular” population in all this process.

I like this subject because I think that is very important to know about our past to face the future and is very interesting to know more about our origins. Also I like it for the bibliography because all along the semester we have been reading papers and books that are full knowledge and are very entertaining as well.

An expert in my field, Social Work

Today I’m going to talk about a person that is an expert and a pioneer of Social Work, her name is Jane Addams. She was born in the United States in 1860 and died in 1935 at the age of 75. All his life was dedicated to the social labor. She fight for the rights of immigrants, women and poor even when everything was against her for being young and a woman.  

The most iconic of his work was the “Hull House”, a house settlement that in the beginning was for European immigrants but with the time it becomes a house with social, educational and artistic programs for everyone. This was recognized all over the world and today it becomes a museum and was declared National Historic Monument of the United States.

To finish I would like to tell that I like her because she fight for what she believes and for the ones who were being vulnerated, even being a young woman, a lesbian, a feminist  and an activist in a time that was extremely sexist against women.
